No. It is the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra. I wish it were the the Arcadian Symphony Orchestra, they might be less conservative (then again, they may be MORE conservative).
I arrived nearly 30 minutes before they started. A youth orchestra was performing when I got there. I turned on my mic as soon as they left the stage, so I caught the entire warm-up from the very first note, all the way to the final whole-orchestra tuning before the start of the first piece. My only mistake was sitting too far away from the orchestra -- the audience was louder than the orchestra's warm-up. I have come to enjoy the dissonant orchestral warm-up even more than the actual performance itself (especially when the concert program is conservative). Every warm-up is truly a masterpiece of aleatory.
Is this the Arcadian Symphony Orchestra?
ReplyDeleteHow early were you there? It's great how over time as more and more audience arrive, the volume and energy grows.
I wonder if the orchestra is responding to the Time or Presence?
